Peter Larson, Management Partner In 2000 Peter retired as Chairman and CEO of Brunswick Corporation, the world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of recreational boats and engines, commercial fitness equipment, billiards and bowling products.  Prior to joining Brunswick, Peter was a Director of Johnson & Johnson and Worldwide Chairman of its international Consumer and Personal Care Group, which markets brands including J&J baby products, Band-Aid, Tylenol, and Neutrogena.  Before joining Johnson & Johnson, he was President of Kimberly-Clark’s Health, Infant, and Adult Care sectors, and a member of the Board.  During the course of his career, Peter has led the successful acquisition and integration of ten consumer products companies with annual revenues in excess of a billion dollars.  He has been a Director of the New York Stock Exchange, Compaq, and Click Commerce, and currently serves on the Board of CIGNA Corporation.  Peter holds a BS from Oregon State University and a JD from Seton Hall.  He served as an officer on nuclear submarines in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1967.

Ron Jones, Management Partner Ron retired as Chairman and CEO of Sealy Corporation upon its sale to KKR for $1.6 billion in 2004.  Ron previously led a highly successful 1997 management buyout of Sealy for $800 million.  Prior to joining Sealy, Ron was President of the Home Furnishings Group of Masco Corporation.  Through an acquisitions program, Masco became the leading residential U.S. furniture manufacturer, operating through fourteen strategic operating units.  The Home Furnishings Group was sold to an investor group for over $1 billion (approximately 11.5x EBITDA) in 1996.  Ron also served as President and a Director of HON Industries, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of office furniture.  He is a Trustee of High Point University and Southern Virginia University.  Ron earned a BS in Education from Central Methodist College and completed graduate work in Business at both Baker University and Southern Methodist University.  He holds an honorary doctorate degree from Southern Virginia University.

Chuck Berger, Management Partner Chairman, President and CEO of The Scotts Company following its merger with Miracle-Gro Corporation, of which he was a Director. During his tenure, Scotts grew into the world’s largest lawn and garden company, completing ten major acquisitions totaling over $550 million in revenues. During his tenure Scotts’ share price appreciated 175%, approximately seven times the S&P 500 index. Previously, his thirty-two year career with global food conglomerate H.J. Heinz included leadership roles such as Chairman and CEO of Heinz India, Managing Director and CEO of Heinz Italy, and CEO of Heinz South Africa. He also served as Chairman and CEO of Weight Watchers International, a Heinz subsidiary. Chuck is Executive in Residence at Ohio Wesleyan University. He is a Trustee of the Naples Botanical Garden and the Philharmonic Center for the Arts in Naples, Florida, and of North Shore Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Chuck is a graduate of Princeton University and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Arnold Spangler, Senior Adviser, has over thirty years of experience as a successful private equity investor in and adviser to middle market companies. He was previously a Managing Director with Mancuso & Company, a New York-based private equity firm. Arnold has also been a General Partner at Lazard Freres & Co., where he focused on mergers & acquisitions advisory services. After thirteen years at Lazard, he left to become head of worldwide mergers & acquisitions at PaineWebber Incorporated, where he built the firm’s middle-market franchise. Arnold has been a Director of Wayn-Tex, Sports Holdings Corp., Syncor International, and also of Life Fitness Corp. He earned a BS in Economics from Iowa State University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Pam Singleton, Senior Adviser, was an equity research analyst for thirty-four years at Merrill Lynch, where she focused on the home furnishings sectors including furniture, textile, and flooring companies. Her many awards include 2nd place in the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” survey of furniture analysts, and being named by Institutional Investor as a “Home Run Hitter” and member for many years of the “All-American Team”. Pam now provides investor-related advisory services to companies in the home furnishings sector. Pam is Chairman of the Salmagundi Club, a center for American art and artists in New York, and Treasurer of the Player’s Club, the country’s oldest club of performing arts patrons. She earned a BA in Mathematics at Manhattanville College, an MBA (Finance) from Seton Hall, and is a CFA and member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.

D. Andrew “Andy” Stackpole, Founder and Managing Partner, has sixteen years of mergers and acquisitions experience in the consumer products industry. Prior to founding Trinity, he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance for companies in the consumer products industry. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Andy was a Managing Director with Bear Stearns, where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions in the consumer products and media sectors. The majority of Andy’s career was spent at SBC Warburg and its predecessors, where he was co-head of the U.S. Mergers & Acquisitions department. Andy is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where he is an International Affairs Fellow. He holds a BA from Trinity College, an MPA from the Kennedy School at Harvard, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (as a Fellow Nominee).

Neil Moffett, Associate, was previously an Analyst with JPMorgan in the Mergers and Acquisitions group. He worked on leveraged acquisition advisory projects and helped advise many of the country’s leading private equity firms, while also working closely with management teams in a variety of industries. Subsequently as an independent consultant, Neil helped prepare financial statements and developed a database to track unit sales and optimize production in the Teaching Resources group at Scholastic Corporation. Neil holds a BA in Economics from Carleton College.

Yen Tse Yap, Analyst, received a BA in Economics from Trinity College, Cambridge. He was awarded the College’s highest undergraduate academic award in his junior year and won a Traveling Studentship to pursue graduate studies in the U.S., where he earned a Master in Finance from Princeton University
